Research unit aims to achieve the vision 2030 of King Khalid University and its research deanship. It improves the classification of the university in the international ranking for the scientific research by being involved on advanced technologies viz. Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Renewable energy, Water Resources, Pollution Management, Nanobiology, Machine learning, Mobile Application Development, Computer Assisted Language Learning(CALL), Technology and Languages, Linguistics, Language theories, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Translation etc.
Vision:
Accomplish outstanding scientific research in various domains of knowledge and to uplift the King Khalid University in the top 200 Universities worldwide by 2030.
Objectives:

Facilitate and encourage research activities amongst the faculty members and students in the college

Develop collaborative research with local and International universities / centres of research.

Resolve the social and region's issues through funded research projects.

Strengthen scientific research that keeps the university in the forefront as a research and scholarly institution among other national and international universities.
Mission:
Encourage distinguished research work through the creation of an attractive and stimulating academic environment and to achieve teaching, learning, scientific research and social contribution having optimal utilization of resources.
